About

Live Light Show chronicles the adventures of a 30 something father of four as he develops an interactive holiday light display. The site is designed so readers can follow along, suggest ideas, and see the display as it takes shape. It will focus on what is ‘behind the scenes’ of the display in detail. Many of the posts will be in depth technically, however we’ll include links to additional information whenever possible.

While interactive holiday displays are nothing new, the intent of this site is to focus on what goes into making a holiday display as well as the actual display itself. Consider it an experiment. We’ll see how it goes, together.

For now I’m going to remain pseudo-anonymous. It’ll be more fun that way. I’ll probably let the cat out of the bag around October, so if you figure out who I am, keep it a secret.

One of the key aspects of this site is ‘do-it-yourself’. I have a short list of other DIY displays in the sidebar. If you’ve developed a holiday light display using control circuits you built yourself (vs purchased from Light-O-Rama or another animated lighting company), drop me a line and I’ll include a link.
